October 29, 2014 - Comments Off on Check Us Out: Bene Rialto Retail Marketplace Opening
We may have just announced our involvement in the Young & Able web pop-up (and soon to be physical space), but we've got another announcement for all of you. On a recent and particularly breezy Thursday night, we celebrated the opening of Bene Rialto—a retail marketplace in Manhattan featuring outstanding local, national, and international makers, from apparel to jewelry to handcrafted denim bags.
The marketplace consists of three floors. You can find most of the accessories and paper goods on the first floor, apparel on the second (including a few familiar designs from yours truly!), and art on the third floor. The space will also feature various events and speakers.
Here's a little background on the space: The space—whose namesake means "good marketplace" in Italian—is the brainchild and work of a former buyer and director from Saks, Caryn Neary, plus a team of other high fashion retail veterans. But the space is much more than a place to find extremely well-made gifts and indulgences. Think of it as an emerging incubator—the vision is to integrate a wholesale showroom, florist space, and eatery into the mix. Nestled right off of one of Midtown's busiest footpaths, this is the perfect place for a more personal shopping experience, past the mega-stores and mass-produced fashions of 5th Avenue.
We'll have much more to announce on this space and what you can expect to see in terms of events and get-togethers, but for now you can visit the space at 13 W. 38th St, New York, New York. And don't forget to come see what we have to offer on the second floor—we're right next to the dressing rooms, near the front windows (replete with a peek at the Empire State Building).
